Hello! I haven't decorated in a week or so because I've been busy with Antonia but I did some practicing today and I'm actually quite pleased with how everything came out!
Today I learned different types of drop strings and also how to pipe print and cursive letters. This involves adding some corn syrup to the frosting in order to make it more elastic so it doesn't break when I try to pipe lines.

| This is actually a lattice design that I did yesterday, it needs some work but I think it's pretty! |
| normal drop string |
| double and triple drop strings |
| this is an example of overlapping drop strings. the first one I tried came out a little too shallow so I like the second one better. |
| This is actually a lot easier than it looks, I was really intimidated by piping letters but I'm actually pretty good at it! |
| Look it's so pretty and it looks like my handwriting yay! |
| Kelena is what happens when you smoosh the names of my favorite characters on the vampire diaries (katherine and elena), and Antonia is my friend from Canada who stayed with me over the weekend! look how pretty her name is in frosting!! |

Tomorrow or in the next day or so, I will be decorating another cake (heart shaped this time) so be on the lookout for that! it's going to be pink and pretty and lovely and incorporate techniques from everything I've learned so far, so I'm excited!
